Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli misses childhood freedom of roaming around streets after becoming a celebrity.
In his interview on Indian sports channel, Kohli recalled how he used to visit markets, restaurants and having fun time without anyone bothering him.
"If I ever get a chance, I will walk around the streets in India. I haven't done it since becoming a celebrity. To be honest, I don't remember when the last time I went around on a walk with no one bothering me," he shared.
"In childhood, I enjoyed a lot. I used to commute on my scooter. I was free to go to markets, doing shopping and enjoying food or whatever I could to have fun. I really miss that thing in my life. I will definitely grab if such an opportunity is given to me now," he added.
Kohli is one of the finest cricketers India have ever produced. He has represented India in 108 Tests, 274 ODIs, and 115 T20Is. The right-handed batter has also captained India across three formats.
After T20 World Cup 2021, he left India's captaincy due to so much pressure on him. Under him, India failed to perform in that tournament. He then continued to play as a player in the Indian side.
Currently, he is representing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has started off well this season, scoring 214 runs in just four matches so far.
